Skip with Forward Arm Circles - "Down"
Skip with Backward Arm Circles - "Back"

Cues:

  1. Maintain an upright posture
  2. Skip with a high knee to hip height
  3. Make big arm circles – Fingers to the sky and the ground each circle
  4. Drive off the back foot – ensuring that the big toe leaves the ground last
  5. Drive forward with each skip

What to look for:

All in all, we are looking for a natural athletic coordinated movement, that flows from one into the next. While making arm circles, maintain excellent distance per skip

Dynamic Preparation II

Carioca

Cues:

  1. Hands at shoulder height
  2. Eyes, Toes, Hips Forward
  3. Make sure the hips and feet stay pointing forward
  4. Small – Fast – Quick steps
  5. Across in Front
  6. Across behind
  7. Repeat both directions for the distance

What to look for:

Maintain an upright posture and fast, quick strides!
